the S’PORT vlog 7 – Dame Sarah Storey #cycling #swimming and Sue Storey #volleyball

2 sides to every Storey!

These girls definitely can, stealing a phrase from the Sport England campaign.  Honoured today, to share the stage with such inspirational women within the sports industry.  Sarah is the most successful female British Paralympian of all time. Her achievements also include being a 29-time World champion (6 in swimming and 23 in cycling), a 21-time European champion (18 in swimming and 3 in cycling) and holding 75 world records. Wow! She is joined on the S’PORT vlog podcast with the leader of volleyball in England, and Chief Executive to the National Governing Body for that sport, Sue Storey – as well as Director and Trustee with its charitable arm, the Volleyball England Foundation.

These ‘sporting genies’ open up to interviewer, Adrian Stores, on topical matters including: challenges to the sport, reincarnation within competitions, tips for females in achieving careers and what’s next for each of them?

Of enjoyment to anyone interested in swimming, cycling or volleyball – sponsored by: www.acrobatfcsm.com.

the S’PORT vlog 1 – Rafal Lojewski #volleyball [July 2020]

The inaugural S’PORT vlog with an interview of the Coach at Stockport Volleyball Club (www.stockportvolleyball.com). Embracing everything from ski to ska, difficulties when people think you need to earn your stripes, the collaboration between Turkey and Poland, swimming against the tide and aspirations post-coronavirus. Of enjoyment to anyone interested in volleyball and sports in general – and interviewed by Host, Adrian Stores of www.acrobatfcsm.com on a rainy day. Light-hearted listen with occasional faux pas, but as is proclaimed within: “Rome wasn’t built in a day!”

M&M

We are delighted to welcome Marcin Mols to the S’PORT for its 2020-21 volleyball season. The intuitive engagement and intervention of Coach Rafal, facilitated this transfer in conjunction with Chairman, Adrian.

Marcin is a coup to be recruited to the Stockport ambitious Squad. He is pictured here, photo courtesy of KS Metro Warsaw.

In demand from several clubs, we are honoured that he will represent and become an Ambassador for the S’PORT.  Marcin is finalising his Studies at Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Białystok. Volleyball has been his life since starting playing at age 12 years’ old. Men’s Club Captain, Adam Mitchell who has witnessed his playing videos has said: “No way. Happy days. Very very very good player” about our securing our first new signing.

Career history, starting with most recent: KS Metro Warszawa, UKS Centrum Augustów, SKS Hajnówka and Mlekpol MOSiR Grajewo. Position Outside Hitter.

The S’PORT is going up!

The S’PORT is PROMOTED 🎉🎉 to Division 1 in National Volleyball League.

Two consecutive promotions since our Men’s formation.

Didn’t need the Play Off Final in the end, as Volleyball England confirmed:

“Southampton Volleyball Club have withdrawn their team from the Super League for next season. As we now require both of the teams in the Super League vs Division 1 playoff to take a place in the Super League, this opens up an additional spot in Division 1. As a result we intend to keep/promote all three teams from the Division 1 vs Division 2 playoffs, as we had originally needed two from three to be promoted.”
